What the calculator assumes
- A month is 52 weeks divided by 12, so 4.33 weeks.
- Our ube prices come from our web shop and were last updated on 2 November 2026. The shop shows them with 9% Dutch VAT. A business gets that VAT back, so the calculator leaves it out.
- You enter your selling price with VAT, as it is on your menu. We take the VAT off for the margin.
- Margin here is your selling price without VAT minus the ube, milk and cup. Staff, rent and energy are not in it.
- We assume you keep at most three months of stock. A bigger pack only counts in the advice if you use it up within three months.
- If you buy several bags or kilos at once, we use the price for 3 or 5 bags, 2 or 3 kilos, or 60 and 100 kilos, as long as that fits within those three months.
- Shipping is not included.
Questions
How much ube powder goes into a latte?
We work with 3 grams of ube powder per latte. That gives you just over 330 lattes from a kilo. For a deeper colour, raise the grams in the calculator.
What does the ube in a latte cost?
With 3 grams on the Café plan it is €0.15 without VAT. From 100 gram bags it is €0.50.
Does the calculator include VAT?
No. Our shop prices include 9% Dutch VAT, but a business gets that back. You do enter your selling price with VAT; we take it off ourselves.
Which pack size suits me?
That depends on how much you use. The calculator picks the cheapest pack you use up within three months.
Can I put the calculator on my own website?
